As a member of the Business Development team, you will lead the product partnership strategy with third-party financial services technology vendors and manage the team. You will work closely with Blend’s Product Management, Sales, Services, and Support groups to build long term value across customers by creating partnerships with players in the ecosystem and increasing the value of Blend’s core platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and drive overall strategy and prioritization plan for product partnerships
Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals
Identify new partners and negotiate first-of-their kind business and technical terms with them across a variety of initiatives
Manage relationships with key players and platform holders in the tech and mortgage ecosystems
Partner with Product teams to identify growth opportunities
Inform, influence, support, and execute on product decisions
Track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metrics to build opportunities and experiences that create scale and meaningful ecosystem value
REQUIREMENTS
7+ years experience managing a team in one or more of the following areas: business development, product partnerships, or business strategy
Proven track record in identifying, building and managing complex business partnerships that involve revenue generation and product integration
Experience managing multiple partnerships across a wide range of key players
Experience in complex, first of their kinds deals with large and small companies
Exceptional ability of leveraging partnerships to build and close deals by working across all levels of the organization
Demonstrable creativity and thoughtfulness in structuring deals to reflect unique business relationships
Experience negotiating, finalizing, and executing on complex product partnership agreements
High degree of initiative, resourcefulness, self-motivation, strategic thinking with strong analytic skills and technology background
A track record of working in a fast-paced environment, setting your own demanding expectations, inspiring and supporting your team
Project management leadership experience, able to lead multiple time-sensitive and cross-functional projects
Proven track record of building and scaling teams
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter - comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
NICE TO HAVES
Experience working in enterprise SaaS industry
Experience creating a marketplace through partnerships with different types of technology providers
Knowledge of the mortgage process / industry
