We're looking for experienced engineers to join our fast moving team. We work on a range of interesting and challenging problems, from supporting thousands of concurrent shoppers and processing millions of data points in real time, to determining the best route for deliveries and predicting store inventory levels.

You will support multiple multidisciplinary teams focused on a business domain

You will provide guidance for the goals of the teams, and ensure they're moving the company forward

You will develop the engineering talent on those teams

You will maintain a high bar for recruiting, hiring and performance of the engineering team

You will provide hands-on technical management, guidance, and support including system/design/code review

You will improve the productivity of the teams

You will be responsible for the health of your teams' systems and technologies


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience

Experience managing a team of infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineers

Strong sense of ownership

The ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions

Knowledge of industry best practices for security and reliability


Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or another cloud provider

Strong understanding of how to build robust distributed systems

Strong knowledge of common Web technology such as Ruby on Rails, Python or JavaScript frameworks

Strong analytical skills

Contributions to the technical community (e.g. open source, blogging, etc.)
